Yay!!!  My first Shaker Card! I had a ton of fun making this card and I listened to Metro Station's "Shake It" over and over while making it!  LOVE that song!  So, I will post the song/video to share with you in case you wish to listen to it...  =D  I think I craft so much better with music on...do you?

Anywhoooo...back to my card!   This image is called Catch My Heart (click here to find it in the shop)  and she is a gorgeous Tiddly Inks image!  This weeks challenge (#39) at Tiddly Inks is to make a shaker card.  For more details, please visit the challenge blog by clicking HERE.
There is a detailed tutorial by Meredith on the challenge blog that will show you how to make a shaker card.

This is kind of a "book-styled" card...not sure if there is a proper term for it???  lol
Copic's used: YG09, YG11, YG13, G0000, BG10, RV25, Y08, Y13, E01, E00, R32, R000, Y26, Y21
Since the striped paper is dimensional and glittery it would be hard for someone to sign this card...so I made a hidden signature card that can be pulled out by the little heart tab. The heart tab has a flap on the back so that the tab will easily rest in place (see below.)
Pearl embellies are by Recollections. Heart-shaped eyelets and ribbon used were purchased at a garage sale so I do not know the brands.  A doily is used behind the image.  All patterned papers are from MME's Love Nest stack. Solid papers are from DCWV.
BELOW:  This is how I made my shaker card.  I cut the same image on paper twice (the same size) and then I cut two pieces of acetate (the same size as each other but slightly larger than the paper size.)
Sorry for the blurry photo, but I put some scrap paper down on the Cricut mat, then I used some double-sided tape on the edges of the acetate to hold it down. I didn't want to put the acetate right on the Cricut mat because I was worried that it might leave sticky stuff on the acetate. I cut the acetate slightly larger than my paper.  I started out making my card yellow but didn't like the look so I re-cut my patterned paper and laid it over the yellow. p.s. all of the cuts were designed on my Gypsy using the Straight from the Nest cartridge.
Here I apply the acetate to the paper using glue and a few pieces of tape where the glue didn't stick too well.
Here I put pop up tape all around the cut out. I made sure that the pop up tape was touching all the way around so that it did not leak and glitter.
Here I added the glitter I wanted to use (which is all Martha Stewart glitter), after doing this I peeled the tape and then took the top layer, matched it up to the bottom (shown), and stuck them together!
I hope you have enjoyed my first shaker card!
